UGH! I JUST LOVE THIS!

ROCK-ing chair!

This rocking chair is, by far, one of my favorite finds. I sanded it down and painted it with a Valspar melon color and it came out fantastic! I AM LOOKING TO SELL THE ROCKING CHAIR FOR $45. Please let me know if you or anyone you know is interested. Spread the word : ) (the left arm of the chair is a little worn down, but nothing drastic)

DIY Cake/Cupcake Stand

I have had this pretty blue candle holder for some time now and I have already become bored of it. So.....I found a flowered plate from a thrift store for $3 and glued it to the candle holder with tacky glue and came up with this tiny cake/cupcake stand...cute right?

Think Keith and I went crazy thrifting or what???
I couldn't pass up this pretty milk glass vase....especially for $10. Think she will be the start to my new milk glass collection. : )
I just adored this red easel!!!! Bargained this heavy piece down to $18-----could not resist!!!!!

A T-H-R-I-F-T-Y weekend

4 hours in my favorite local thrift stores!!!!Even had my lil brother join me in our secret obsession of antique shopping!!!Here is just a peek at a few of my lovely purchases!!!!
$10 wicker headboard!!!!!! My fav purchase of the day. Plan to use this as a background in my garden : )
How can you not die for this green color for $8!!!! Planning on putting a pretty white flower in it to bring out the vibrant color.
You can always use a sweet rustic stool, especially for 12 buck-a-roos. May use it as a plant stand. Any thoughts???

Before and After

Hey all! Here is the second dresser I tackled last weekend. Finally remembered the before shot : )
Before...
After....
You can see that another drawer is missing. I still need to nail the bottom of the drawer together since I found it broken. I replaced a shelf with a wire rack to make it a "not so ordinary" dresser. Hope you like it!!!

Just a beat up lil thing......

Yesterday, I took on the challenge of re-purposing an old beat up dresser found left on the curb on garbage night. (my favorite night of the week!!!) Unfortunately, I was half way done before I remembered to take a before shot but here is the after...

Just a small jar of Valspar paint and a set of new knobs from Lowe's and the piece now has a rustic chic look with lots of old charm!
